Repairs and little improvements we’ve made this week

There was no smoke detector in the sailboat.  A shiny new one has been installed.

This one was a repair.  The ladder to enter the cabin was close to putting a hole in the wood.  Not good.
I took the rubber castor off and Mark and I went to the hardware store.

A brand new one is installed!

During sails, one of the gateway tables would bang because it was missing this little silver hook.  After searching, we found one at a marine store in downtown Seattle for a pretty price, but it now works just fine.  Turns out the hook is silver coated brass.

We installed the nautical brass beer bottle opener I gave Joe as an early Christmas gift.  Turns out there may have been one there exactly like it because we didn’t have to drill any new holes!

After a month of searching the boat for a proper place to hold our wineglass holders, we finally found a wonderful spot.

An even better spot for the other ones!  Close to the cockpit door.  ðŸ™‚  Life is Good!
