My favorite day of walking so far. I met Mary and her daughter Aine (Anya) from Cork, Ireland. I walked and chatted with them most of today. I hope to keep in touch with them since they are only doing a section of the camino. Mary just retired from being a kindergarten teacher.
The weather today was a bit too warm for walking. The sun was shining brightly and made all of my photographs look like postcards. The stunning vistas of yellow colza fields are something I will never tire of looking at.
I checked into the alburge La Casa Magica. There are colorful hammocks in an open air garden area. I quickly did a load of laundry, my black leggings are still covered with fuzz from the AirBnb 3 nights ago. Hopefully, with enough washing, the fuzz will disappear.
I did some planning today about how far I was going to go for the next few days. One of the guys I met even made some reservations for me.
Dinner tonight was delicious. The one thing I was disappointed in were the portions. They were very small. Something new I have never had before was a stuffed red pepper. I think it may have been stuffed with a white fish. I need to ask around to see what this dish was called.
