Another Sailing Day

Spinnaker

We went from one of the choppiest days on the water to one of the most smooth. The white-capped waves on Saturday afternoon contrasted sharply with the smooth glass-like water on Sunday afternoon.

Sue and Mike Hansen were our guests for a day of sailing.  As opposed to Saturday when I was freaking out because of the amount of wind and waves on Sunday I was apologizing because there wasn’t enough wind.  Too bad the weather couldn’t be made to order!  All we needed was a day that was half way between Saturday and Sunday.  Mark hoisted the spinnaker for our sail back into the harbor.  This was the second time he has put up the spinnaker.  Two different spinnakers came with the sailboat so now they have both been hoisted.  After sailing we had a wonderful dinner at Anthony’s.

This weekend was filled with wonderful friends on our sailing trips of Saturday and Sunday.  Although the sailing weather was quite a contrast in 24 hours it was a fun-filled weekend.  Thanks Tracy, Sean, Sue, and Mike!  Special thanks to my dear husband Mark for having the dream of owning a sailboat.  We are having a blast with our new sailing lifestyle.
