Bald Eagles!

An eaglet is sitting in the forefront of the picture. A bald eagle is in the distance.

Today I walked with Terri on the northernmost part of the Centennial Trail.  This portion of the trail opened in October.  Until today, due to it’s remote location, I had not explored it.  It was lightly sprinkling and a cool 45 degrees.

Just after leaving the trailhead parking lot we spied a bald eagle sitting in a tree.  Before I could get my phone out of my racebelt to take a picture he flew away.  By the end of our 4 mile walk we had encountered 2 eaglets and 2 bald eagles!  4 miles took us 1:12.
