12 Mile Marathon Training Run
This morning I completed a 12 mile run in 2:38:47. I’m struggling with knee pain so I ran intervals of 3 minutes of running with 1 minute of walking. I also slowed my jogging down significantly. My average pace was 13:14. Lately my average has been between 11:30 – 12:00 minute miles.

Except for the knee pain, I had a marvelous run. My nutrition and hydration were spot on today. The weather was in the low 60 degrees so it made for a very comfortable time to be outdoors. I could barely see through my glasses doing intervals, due to them fogging up, so after 4 miles I put in my contact lens. What a difference!
At the beginning of the run I ran into Tawnya again. We jogged together for two miles. I really need to incorporate the rolling hills on 67th by her house into my route.
