Gooch Mountain Shelter to Woody Gap – 5 miles. Cloudy, foggy, but cool.
Total miles 20.5 miles
First trail magic.. The trail angel named Fresh Grounds was at Woody Gap. He was serving breakfast today. Best egg and cheese sandwich I ever ate.
I’m spending the night at a hostel called Above the Clouds. Tomorrow is a rest day. Hikers call the rest days zero days, no mileage.
