Dick’s Creek Gap to Mile 76

I couldn’t tell if there was a difference with my backpack adjustment. I think it’s due to my shoulder pain. We’ll see in a few days. 

The mountains are really kicking my butt.

I got some trail magic in the form of a brownie. A very nice woman baked them and was taking them to her husband. He is doing the trail with an artificial leg. 

I tented next to a guy named Cowboy. He is carrying a stuffed penguin in memory of his daughter. A little vial inside the penguin’s tummy holds some of his daughter’s ashes. He plans to take them to Katahdin.
