A New Boat Slip

Today we started out rather late.  We didn’t leave the house until 1:30 and then inquired at the Port of Everett about changing our boat slip.  After taking a look at our options we decided to move our sailboat to the South Pier.  We were at the North.  Our new slip is a fabulous location for us.  We sometimes (well always) have trouble with the boat motor stalling when it is put into reverse or a slow speed.  This has caused many close calls when leaving the dock or arriving at the dock.  My heart always races and it is the only thing about sailing I don’t care for.  Our new slip takes care of the racing heart and blood pressure.  There is generous room to maneuver the boat and glide into our new slip.  We did have to pay a bit more for it because it is bigger but it’s worth it in our opinions.  After a wonderful day of sailing we were able to dock our sailboat almost effortlessly.  Yeah for our new boat slip at H93!
